Printed electronics expertise

Printed electronics is utilized by more and more industries like lighting, automotive, health tech and construction. In the Oulu area, printed electronics is a booming industry, and there is a high demand for printed electronics experts in the area’s companies.

To tackle this demand, the University of Oulu and Oulu University of Applied Sciences organize a printed electronics training. In the training, you will get the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage the processes, materials, design, and testing of printed electronics.

You can participate in all of the 32 ECTS worth of courses, but can also tailor a suitable combination for yourself. The training is suitable for the unemployed, temporarily laid-off and those currently employed and looking to improve their skills.

Learning goals

After the training, you will have expertise on product development and fabrication of printed electronics. The focus is on practical applications of printed electronics.

Prerequisites:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a STEM-field.

Adequate skills in English, as the training is mostly in English.

Duration:

The training was started in January 2020, but you can join any time. The first course, Printed Electronics, is available online until October 31st 2020.

The courses will be taught by researchers and lecturers specializing in printed electronics.

Practical matters:

The courses organized in the Spring of 2020 will be taught online. Any laboratory work and contact teaching will be conducted in the Autumn of 2020.

The number of participants:

There is no limit for participants in the online courses of the training. However, the capacity of the laboratory courses is limited, and participants will be selected based on their applications.
